Square Enix si è candidata all'acquisizione della quota maggioritaria della compagnia sviluppatrice giapponese Tecmo. Reuters ritiene che l'affare possa concludersi intorno alla cifra di 102 milioni di dollari, circa 69,1 milioni di euro.
Square Enix spera di includere Tecmo più o meno nello stesso modo in cui ha incluso Taito, consentendo l'utilizzo del proprio marchio e all'organizzazione di continuare a lavorare sotto controllo del gruppo Squenix. Apparentemente Square Enix è attratta da Tecmo per la sua capacità di produrre giochi che hanno raggiunto un elevato successo in tutto il mondo come Ninja Gaiden e Dead or Alive.
Una risposta ufficiale di Tecmo all'offerta è comunque attesa per il 4 Settembre prossimo, quindi restate sulle nostre pagine per non perdere nemmeno un aggiornamento in merito a questa contrattazione.
