Sony ha reso noto che questo mese taglierà i prezzi di PspGO sul suolo americano e giapponese esattamente quando il mercato dei videogiochi entra nella fase cruciale degli acquisti di fine anno. La mossa di Sony arriva un mese dopo che Nintendo ha annunciato il nuovo 3DS che sarà disponibile da Febbraio in Giappone e da Marzo in Usa e Europa. Il prezzo di quest'ultima versione di PSP , lanciata circa un anno fa, sarà ridotto a 199 dollari da 249 negli Usa e a 16.800 yen (207 dollari Usa) da 26.800 in Giappone. La Sony, che lunedì comunicherà i risultati trimestrali, ha venduto circa 61 milioni di modelli Psp dal suo lancio iniziale nel 2004.
