Nelle prossime ore saranno diffusi in rete i dettagli (soprattutto economici) della fusione "a sorpresa" appena annunciata tra Koei e Tecmo. Quest'ultima ha ormai formalmente respinto l'offerta avanzata di recente da Square Enix.

L'alleanza Tecmo/Koei, secondo gli annunci ufficiali, ha lo scopo di rafforzare il business delle due società giapponesi soprattutto all'estero, in particolare negli Stati Uniti e in Europa. Per raggiungere l'obiettivo saranno ampliati settori come il gioco online e le serie di maggiore spicco a cominciare da Ninja Gaiden e Dynasty Warriors.

La riorganizzazione dovrebbe sfiorare, almeno è quanto si può dedurre dai primi comunicati, solo la parte "alta" delle due società senza modificare il processo creativo dei videogiochi e quindi i team di sviluppo interni.
