Microsoft ha annunciato una grossa riduzione di prezzo della Xbox 360 in Giappone, abbassandola addirittura del 30 %.

La Xbox 360 Arcade arriverà ora a costare 19.800 Yen (circa 125 €), diventando di fatto la console più economica del mercato, contro i 25.000 Yen di Nintendo Wii (circa 158 €) e i 39.800 Yen di Playstation 3 (circa 252 €).

Microsoft ha pianificato una riduzione simile anche per le versioni Pro ed Elite, per essere maggiormente competitiva nella terra del sol levante. Da notare come in Giappone una Playstation 3 costi meno di un Nintendo Wii in Italia.
