Stamattina come vi avevamo anticipato qualche giorno si è tenuta a Tokyo in Giappone la conferenza indetta da Nintendo che precede, come ormai da consuetudine, il Tokyo Game Show. Si aspettavano grosse novità, ecco la prima il nuovo Nintendo DS, ecco le caratteristiche del nuovo modello:

- più leggero del 12%
- GBA slot rimosso
- schermi da 3.25 pollici (il DS li aveva di 3″)
- fotocamera integrata (non si capisce bene se da 1.3 MP o cosa)
- le foto possono essere ritoccate tramite l’interfaccia e i touch screen
- slot per schede SD
- memoria interna (non si sa da quanto)
- browser integrato
- DSi Ware: il WiiWare del DS. I giochi saranno gratis o costeranno 200/500/800 Nintendo Points 
- Nintendo DSi shop
- Chi si connette al servizio entro marzo 2010 avrà 1000 N Points omaggio
- Esce il 1° nov 2008 in Giappone, nel 2009 nel resto del mondo
- Colori: bianco e nero
