nx-1000Tokyo - La Sony ha presentato al pubblico un nuovo Walkman della serie X, dotato di un nuovo touch screen da 3 pollici migliorato nella luminosità. Il tentativo è quello di allentare la presa dell'iPod sul mercato dei lettori mp3 (ovvero il mercato degli iPod...). 

Il nuovo NW-X1000 è disponibile in rosso e nero e sarà venduto in Giappone a partire dal 25 Aprile. E' previsto un lancio anche negli USA, in Europa e in Canada a partire dall'estate. 

Oltre allo schermo a diodi in grado di emettere luce organica (ovvero schermi OLED, una sorta di schermo autoalimentato), i lettori serie X avranno altre nuove caratteristiche, incluso il Wi-Fi per accedere ad internet ed un menu con tasto dedicato per Youtube. Inoltre è presente un amplificatore digitale ed una nuova tecnologia noise-cancelling, per migliorare l'ascolto attraverso le cuffie.

Il nuovo NW-X1060 con 32Gb di memoria costerà circa 50,000 yen (circa 380 euro), mentre la versione da 16Gb, l'NW-X1050, ne costerà circa 40,000 (circa 304 euro).
