Solo per il mercato Giapponese, la Sony ha lanciato il suo nuovo modello XDV-W600, ovvero un piccolo televisore LCD da poter usare sott'acqua!
Il prodotto in questione, infatti, può rimanere immerso a non più di un metro di profondità per la durata massima di 30 minuti.
Ha inoltre una durata massima di funzionamento di ben 23 ore, ed una memoria interna di 2Gb per registrare circa 10 ore di programmi in digitale, oltre ad uno schermo da 4 pollici di 272px per 480px ad una risoluzione di 16.7 milioni di colori.
Il mini Bravia subacqueo sarà in vendita in Giappone a partiredal 30 ottobre nelle versioni rosa, blu e bianco, e costerà 370 dollari.
Per l'Europa bisognerà aspettare, poiché l'XVD-W600 per adesso è abilitato a ricevere solo le trasmissioni trasmesse secondo lo standard digitale One-Seg, in uso in Giappone.
Un prodotto simile, il Mini Viera Panasonic, è già stato lanciato sul mercato giapponese nel mese di giugno.
