altIl Governo Francese  ha assegnato a  Ryoko Ikeda l’insegna  Légion d'honneur  (Chavelier). La Legione D’Onore è un ordine cavalleresco istituito da Napoleone Bonaparte nel 1802, ed è la più alta onorificenza attribuita dalla Repubblica Francese.

L’insegna è stata attribuita a Riyoko Ikeda per il suo contributo nel far conoscere la storia e la cultura francese attraverso il suo lavoro, in particolare “Versailles no Bara” (Le rose di Versailles) ed “Eroica”.

Ryoko Ikeda è la 150esima giapponese che riceve questa onorificenza, ma la prima  tra i suoi colleghi e colleghe mangaka.
