Kitanoumi, il presidente della federazione giapponese di sumo, si e' dimesso dopo lo scandalo della positivita' di due lottatori russi. Durante una riunione straordinaria del consiglio direttivo della Federazione e' stata anche decisa la radiazione dal circuito professionistico dei due fratelli russi Roho e Hakurozan (questi i loro nomi di battaglia) risultati positivi alla cannabis. Hakurozan apparteneva alla scuderia gestita dallo stesso Kitanoumi.
