E' la prima volta dal disastro che ha colpito il nord est del Giappone l'11 Marzo che delle persone entrano nell'edificio del reattore 1 della centrale nucleare di Fukushima colpita da terremoto, tsunami e come nel caso di questo reattore anche da un'esplosione causata dall'idrogeno. I primi ad entrare sono stati 2 operai protetti da tuta e maschere ed equipaggiati con bombole antigas con l'obiettivo di installare un sistema di ventilazione e filtraggio in grado di catturare il 95% del materiale radioattivo. Questo passo permetterà di poter accellerare il rispristino dei sistemi di raffreddamento per arrivare all'arresto freddo dei reattori.
