Qualche giorno fa' nella Prefettura di Yamagata si è svolto il National Rhinoceros Beetle Sumo Championship:
si avete capito bene, proprio un campionato di Sumo tra coleotteri. Secondo il giornale giapponese Mainichi tra la'ltro, l'ultimo match di sumo si è concluso quando uno dei coleotteri è volato via dalla finestra scomparendo.
Erano presenti circa 430 studenti delle scuole elementari che hanno partecipato portando in gara i loro coleotteri. Il vincitore di ogni partita è determinato dal coleottero che dopo 60 secondi si trova più in alto su di un asta di 70 centimetri.
Durante la finale il campione in carica "KING KABUTO", di proprietà di Takuma Kobayashi, 7 anni, nonostante l'inizio molto forte, ha preferito la libertà volando via, regalando la vittoira a "KING JOE".
